The year 2025 marks a major turning point in the history of ClientXCMS. After the end of life of the first version in late 2024, and the first full year of the NextGen version, the project reached a decisive milestone: its transition to open source in September 2025.

This choice was not trivial. It profoundly transformed the way the project evolves, both technically and community-wise. Find in this article a summary of the improvements made and the new features of version v2.15.
