Hello everyone,

Nearly a year after our last announcement, we are proud to reconnect with you to announce the launch of our new website and provide an update on CLIENTXCMS development as well as upcoming new features throughout the year.

New Website​

img We are pleased to announce the launch of our new website. We have worked hard to provide you with a smoother and more enjoyable browsing experience. The site includes a marketplace area to easily display each extension, as well as a changelog page to track updates (we still need time to restore the older versions).

We have also planned other pages that will arrive in the coming weeks, with the ability to request an automated trial version or view other information pages about the project. img

You also get a brand new license management interface, simpler and faster, with three major features...

Domain Name Change​

No need to contact us to change your domain name anymore: you can now do it directly from your client area, in the "Licenses" section, then "Change domain name". Simply enter the new domain name and click "Change", after having previously added the CNAME record from your current domain.

TIPS

Domain modification is possible every 60 days. For subdomain changes, this is not considered a domain change.

License Reinstallation​

We have implemented a license reinstallation feature. You can now reinstall your license on another server without going through technical support. This feature is available in your client area, in the "Licenses" section, then "Reinstall license". Available for "Cloud" type licenses. Reinstallation

Login credentials will be sent to you by email once the installation is complete.

Extension Modification​

We have also automated extension management. You can now swap them according to your needs without going through technical support. This feature is available in your client area, in the "Licenses" section, then "Modify extensions". Available for "Cloud" type licenses. img

Self-Hosting Launch​

A few days ago, we launched self-hosting: you can now host your own website. To do this, simply make a request in your client area, in the "Licenses" section, then "Download".

TIPS

Please note that self-hosting access is limited to a certain number of people with Linux and server skills. We recommend staying on Cloud hosting if you don't have the necessary skills.

Also, if you have requested self-hosting to create extensions or themes, we are waiting to release the update with the theme and extension system before authorizing your download. No worries, it's coming soon.

Second Half 2024 Roadmap​

We have already achieved the feat of releasing a stable version of NextGen in less than 6 months, with more than 800 commits and a complete project overhaul with Laravel. Since the NextGen release, we have also processed more than 550 tickets. The goal for the second half is to continue this momentum and offer you extensions and themes for your client area. Our motto is to provide extensions aimed at improving and customizing each host's client area with our section and theme system, while continuing to add features to our CMS to make it more complete and easier to use. Let's review the major projects to come.

  • Upgrade system for your services
  • Additional options system, recurring or one-time during ordering
  • Complete service configuration system from the base price
  • Affiliate program for your clients and partners (we have planned something nice :D)

And more than 170 Jira tickets with extension ideas, modifications, and improvements to process, we have plenty to keep us busy.

Also, we have already started working on developer documentation, with a section dedicated to theme development. Another section will arrive for extensions.

Themes

With the theme system, it will be accompanied by a section system to customize content with a part included in the CMS and another via a paid extension such as:

  • Presentation sections (quality, support, etc.).
  • Dynamic sections (dynamic FAQ section with questions from the FAQ extension, for example).
  • Mega menu (dropdown menu at the top of the page).
  • Different hero banner styles or product layouts.
  • Cookie or information banner at the top of the page.

Discord Bot Download & Email Templates​

For the most astute among you, you may have noticed that downloading and purchasing the Discord bot source is not yet implemented on the website. We are currently working on the download module to allow you to download the Discord bot source directly from your client area. We have also planned to implement new v2-compatible email templates and email content customization with a section in the administration area.

End of Support for the Old Version​

We have decided to set an end-of-support date for older versions of CLIENTXCMS. Starting October 1, 2024, no version can be downloaded or updated, with end of support scheduled for January 1, 2025. We recommend migrating to V2 as soon as possible. If you have questions or problems, don't hesitate to contact our technical support.

Some Rest​

We have planned to take a week off to recharge and come back in full form for the rest of development. We will therefore be on vacation from August 17 to 24, 2024. Support will be limited but still available in case of emergency. Also, maintenance of our services is planned for the weekend of September 14, 2024. We will tell you more about it as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding.
